Noise Festival

My Sleeping (Less) Rough and Wax Light projects were selected for exhibition at the Noise Festival at the Urbis in Manchester last month.

About Noise- "NOISE is not your typical arts festival. It has no physical location rather the central hub of activity takes place on the NOISE website making it the first 'virtual' festival of its kind in Europe! You can live anywhere in the UK and it is free to take part.

The best work will be selected for media showcase by some of the finest creative professionals in the UK including Peter Saville (Image-making), Mark Eley of Eley Kishimoto (Fashion), Danny Brown (New Media), Stella Vine (Fine Art), Wayne Hemingway (3D design) and Anthony Wilson (Word)."

So at the opening of the exhibition I got to meet Wayne Hemingway and also found out that I had won the opportunity to do a Noise Dream Job- two weeks work experience at Hemingway Design!

Noise had also arranged for two of the Sleeping (Less) Rough beds to be trialled by two Big Issue In The North sellers. The feedback has been good and I will be passing the results to a possible sponsor so that these beds can get closer to becoming made on a larger scale.

As a result of Noise my work has received press coverage on TV- 'Raw Creatives' (shown on the Community Channel) and in the Big Issue In The North.

Many thanks to all at Noise, Emily from Big Issue In The North, and Liam and Joseph for testing out the beds.
