Association of Illustrators- Images 31 Exhibition and book launch

Congratulations to Øivind for having his work selected for Images 31 which is produced by the AOI. Øivind's work was selected from over 1,000 other illlustration submissions and has been included in the Books section of the Exhibition and Images 31 book. Images 31 is the 31st annual edition and is considered British illustration's most important document.

The AOI was established in 1973 to advance and protect illustrator’s rights and encourage professional standards. The AOI is a non-profit making trade association dedicated to its members’ professional interests and the promotion of illustration.

Unfortunately Øivind is away in Norway at the moment taking part in his annual wooden longboat endurance holiday (!), so Simon and myself went along for the private view at the London College of Communication.

Checking out D&AD New Blood 2007

It's that time of year again, where the new design graduates come to London and show their work to the masses. Being two whole years since we were in the same situation, we wanted to see what the new wave of designers had to offer. Apart from D&AD getting too big and too saturated there were some really good pieces of work which stood out from the rest.

Away from all the viewing, Si and myself bumped into an old tutor and got chatting about what we have been doing with LO-TEC for the past two years and how much we have achieved. This led to an invitation back to our old Uni in Plymouth to give a talk to the current students on setting up your very own design studio. Which is very nice. So keep watching this space for a LO-TEC seminar near you.

Just a little screen shot from the Funkdup article about myself and Lo-tec............check it out for yourself at www.funkduplondon.com

And in the flesh....

To follow with the rebranding of our main website, we've got some new promotional material.

This is how it looks. Since last September we've been busy working with a variety of clients who stemmed from 100% East but now comes our 1st marketing push so we can expand our creative horizons! Exciting times are ahead
The Lo-tec pitch for the olympic logo - i like the real one though to be fair!!

Check this out...........

To add an air of mystery to my post i'll say simply that you may see this Lo-tec image around if you're a lucky person, and it will be appearing under slightly different guises in several other places . VA (visually aware, as Tom would say)
